An article from Stuff.co.nz in New Zealand talks about the program running in Auckland:

Roots of Empathy sees a parent and baby visit classrooms regularly to teach pupils empathy, emotional literacy, violence prevention and infant safety.

As pupils watch the baby grow and achieve milestones throughout the year, founder Mary Gordon says they learn about themselves and others.

“The idea is they experience the learning from being taught and guided how to observe and question,” Gordon says.
